Ingredients

For the Shrimp

  • 1½ pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • ¼ cup Mountainside Apiary Spring Blossom Reserve Honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for extra depth)

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1½–2 minutes per side, just until pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, crushed red pepper flakes, and Dijon mustard (if using). Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet and gently toss until evenly coated in the warm honey garlic glaze.
  7. Remove from the heat and garnish with chopped parsley, sesame seeds, and fresh lemon wedges.

Serving Suggestions

Serve over steamed jasmine rice, garlic butter pasta, quinoa, or cauliflower rice. Add roasted asparagus, broccoli, or a crisp garden salad for a complete meal.

Beekeeper’s Tip

Honey caramelizes quickly. Keep the heat at medium once the honey is added so the glaze becomes silky and glossy without burning, preserving the delicate floral notes of premium honey.

Best Honey PairingSpring Blossom Reserve

Our Spring Blossom Reserve delivers delicate floral sweetness that perfectly balances the savory garlic and bright citrus. Its smooth finish creates a beautifully glossy glaze that complements the shrimp without overpowering its natural flavor.
