Ingredients

  • 4 center-cut pork chops, bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Mountainside Apiary Spring Blossom Reserve Honey
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops until nicely browned, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken broth, scraping up the flavorful browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Whisk in the honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and thyme. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, until the sauce begins to thicken.
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them. Continue cooking until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir the butter into the sauce. Spoon the glossy honey Dijon glaze over the chops and garnish with fresh thyme.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with roasted baby potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, Brussels sprouts, or roasted carrots. Spoon extra honey Dijon glaze over the pork just before serving.

Beekeeper’s Tip

Honey can scorch over high heat, so reduce the skillet to medium before adding it. This lets the honey caramelize gently while keeping the glaze smooth and glossy.

Best Honey PairingSpring Blossom Reserve

Its delicate floral sweetness balances the sharp Dijon mustard and savory pork without making the glaze overly sweet.
